For the first time, SMART TESTSOLUTIONS has won a company from the aviation industry as a customer for its technologies for cell voltage monitoring on fuel cells. In addition, the development of a series CVM for vehicles is entering the next round.
SMART TESTSOLUTIONS is primarily known in the eMobility environment for its systems for cell voltage monitoring (CVM) on fuel cells. Last year, the company developed its CVM G5S cell voltage monitoring system, which has been optimised for use in vehicles, into a series solution for a major German automotive supplier. Now this project is going into the next round: the specially adapted G5S modules are being extensively tested in accordance with the applicable automotive standards and are being used in the first vehicles. For this purpose, different variants of the single-board solution with different numbers of channels are also being developed. The contracts for this are signed and sealed, and work is already in full swing.
The large company from the aviation industry is not quite as far along yet. It uses cell voltage monitoring in the test bench for research and development purposes. For this area of application, SMART TESTSOLUTIONS offers the tried and tested CVM G5 product series. The fifth generation CVM modules can be used at ambient temperatures of up to 105 degrees and are equipped with a wide-range input for the supply voltage of 4.5 to 32 volts. This means they can be operated directly from a 12 or 24 volt mains supply.
SMART TESTSOLUTIONS GmbH, based in Stuttgart, is a solution provider for testing tasks on automotive control units, electronic systems and renewable energy systems such as batteries and fuel cells. Customer-specific system applications are realised on the basis of a standard programme of optimised system modules for measured value acquisition, load and sensor simulation. Numerous automotive manufacturers and suppliers use SMART TESTSOLUTIONS' cell voltage monitoring solutions.
