We are looking for energetic support in setting up a reliable and secure internal communication network, introducing an integrated tool landscape and planning a controlled migration of key services to the cloud. The ideal candidate will therefore feel equally at home in a heterogeneous server landscape virtualised with vmWare vSphere with Microsoft domain controllers and Linux servers, as well as in Microsoft 365 and Atlassian Cloud.

Tasks

• IT service
• IT administration
• Integration, maintenance and administration of new and existing servers, workstations and devices in a Windows domain
• Integration, support and administration of services, software applications and tools
• Managing user accounts and access rights in a Windows domain, Microsoft 365 and other cloud services
• Network infrastructure maintenance to ensure reliable and secure network operations
• IT development to optimise company-wide communication processes
• Definition and integration of network policies and processes
• Support in restructuring and updating the virtualised server landscape
• Support for restructuring the Active Directory
• Support for migration to the cloud (Microsoft 365, Atlassian, NextCloud, ...)
• Tool introduction and maintenance

Profile

Education:

• University degree in SW development or similar

Necessary knowledge:

• Practical experience in the role of network administrator.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience with network technology, routing, switching, firewalling and VPN
• Very good knowledge of best practices for administration and monitoring of virtualised server infrastructures
• Experience with setting up and maintaining an Active Directory
• Experience with migrating an on-premise Microsoft Exchange to Microsoft 365
• Good understanding of version management

Desirable skills:

• Experience with CI/CD solutions such as Jenkins
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Experience with GitLab and Subversion servers
• Experience with Microsoft SQL
• Experience with MikroTik routers

Languages:

• German and English fluent
