Constructor/designer (f/m/d) for the development of mechatronic systems and assemblies

We are looking for support in the area of test system design for sophisticated housing designs and test item contacting as well as in the area of e-cell electronics for the design of precision mechanical contacting of electrochemical cells in the areas of batteries, fuel cells and electrolysers. Here, the combination of 3D printed parts, printed circuit boards and contact elements is decisive.

Tasks

  • Based on the specific task, basic design of various mechatronic solution approaches for product development / product identification
  • Detailed design of assemblies and systems until they are ready for production
  • Creation of simulation calculations to optimise mechanical stability (shock, vibration, static loads, etc.)
  • Creation of drawing derivations incl. specification of test dimensions for incoming goods inspection
  • Coordination of manufacturability with external service providers
  • Coordinating the ability to deliver the components
  • Preparation of the necessary tolerance calculations
  • Selection of purchased parts and price calculations
  • Supporting production with incoming goods inspection, production transfer and quality control
  • Supporting marketing and sales with suitable 3D models, images and export data
  • Design of simple conductor assemblies (at least currently without explicit electronic components) as contact carriers in rigid or flexible PCB design desirable

Profile

Education:

  • Mechatronics with focus on product design / possibly mechanical engineering
  • Training ideally in electrical or plastics, precision mechanics with prior knowledge of automotive

Necessary knowledge:

  • At least 5 years of professional and project experience
  • Design preferably in Creo from version >3.0, alternatively SolidWorks, or Vision 360
  • Profound material knowledge of metal and plastic with a focus on injection moulding and 3D printing
  • Current manufacturing processes in machining, laser and additive manufacturing, 3D printing, bent parts
  • Strength and tolerance calculations
  • Basic knowledge of VDE and standards, machinery directive
  • Experience in quality assurance

Desirable knowledge:

  • Tooling PCB design preferably Eagle and / or Altium Designer (in basics for simple designs).
  • Knowledge in the area of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Languages:

  • German and English fluently
